BREAKAWAY SIGN POSTS ARE NOW REQUIRED!
All designs of the SNAP’n SAFE™ Breakaway Device are accepted by the Federal Highway Administration. They meet and exceed the more stringent damage levels contained in the updated NCHRP Report 350 as well. At impact, the sign post breaks away at the coupling and does not strike the roof or windshield of the vehicle.

SNAP’n SAFE™ Breakaway Devices will save you time and money. The SNAP’n SAFE™ Breakaway Devices are used in conjunction with standard square, round or u-channel sign posts as a breakaway system for small sign supports. These breakaways are designed for both in ground and surface mount applications. The in ground design is used in conjunction with a ground anchor post. Simply insert the SNAP’n SAFE™ into the anchor post, slide the sign post on top of it and them secure with (4) provided corner bolts. At impact, the sign post breaks away at the coupling and does not damage the anchor post. Or, choose the surface mount device which bolts directly to concrete therefore eliminating concrete boring.
