Tok Alaska Municipal Airport

In 2009, Tok Alaska Municipal Airport was looking for a cost effective fuel management and card reader system that would accept major credit cards and print customer receipts, without having to purchase a high priced Point Of Sale System. The airport simply wanted to be able to offer their customers the convenience of using their credit card and print receipts. They also knew that the system must be PCI compliant due to new regulations in the Payment Card Industry. Another challenge was finding a system that could operate well in the harsh Alaska environment. They were also under budget constraints from the City Council. With this system and using a simple analog phone line for credit card authorization, Tok Alaska was able to avoid the high cost of a Point of Sale System. The system is able to fuel 200+ gallons per transaction of the various aircraft customers, while the owners of the Fuel are able to track and manage all fuel use for their expensive AVGAS 100LL and Jet Fuel.
