ETA Transit increases its sales force with hire of Gerald Douglas.

Press Release from ETA Transit Systems

Boca Raton, FL - February 2017 — Continuing with its recent trend of aggressive expansion, ETA Transit Systems has announced its hire of former Mobilitat and Trapeze executive Gerald “Jerry” Douglas, as its newest Senior Account Manager. Douglas’ addition underscores ETA’s push to add highly experienced industry veterans to its staff.

“Jerry knows the ins and outs of the transit business from both agency vendor sides, and that’s a critically important understanding to help our customers develop solutions specific to their situations” notes ETA Transit CEO Nicole Castonguay. “As competitive as the transit provider market is, it’s not enough to simply have a technology that satisfies an agency’s needs, it’s about working with our customers to implement the right solution for both today—and tomorrow. Jerry’s hire helps us do that.”

Douglas’ impressive resume in the transit sphere spans all 50 states and experience with the United States Department of Transportation and several federal transit associations. His diverse experience in securing contracts ranging from $30K–$15 million provides the necessary cross-market experience in dealing with private and government agencies both large and small—a key advantage in ETA’s targeted markets.

“When searching for a new opportunity, I wanted a company who provided a unique product that could really make a difference in the transit market, and was driven by innovation and customer service,” notes Douglas. “ETA satisfied those criteria in ways that truly impressed me. I’m excited to be part of the team and advocate its SPOT ITS.”
